Recreation and leisure programs and services play an important role in knitting communities together and enhancing quality of life, as well as being integral to social change and community development.  Active people mean active and healthy communities.  It is important for our communities to be able to offer opportunities that enhance quality of life.  NPAC is here to help.

NPAC has three target areas of recreation support initiatives where we will work to connect, collaborate and create:

Youth Supports

• Art and music appreciation
• Activities which strengthen self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills
• Collaborative after school programs - Elementary/Middle/High School
• Adademic support opportunities during non-school hours
• Cultural activities
• Supporting work-ready mentoring programs

Senior Supports

• Collaboration with existing organizations to support activities and life enrichment programs
• Explore barriers and work to help to alleviate them so that seniors have better access to services, with transportation being a priority.
• Art, music, skill development classes and informational workshops
• Volunteer opportunities
• Social gatherings and trips
• Ability to pursue new goals and interests

Family Supports

Support and provide opportunities for families to spend important quality time together to build strong family bonds, such as:
• Supporting community family events
• Supporting community library programs
• Outdoor movie nights & concerts in the park
• Volunteer opportunities
